I. S. Thorne is the author of young adult fiction. An avid writer, her debut novel 'The Programme' was published on her 37th birthday in December 2018; and is the first in the dystopian sci-fi 'The Programme' trilogy. 

Setting her adventures in modern-day Scotland, all are based on events throughout history. Whilst her writing is undoubtedly dystopian (with a little bit of sci-fi and romance) the events in her stories are not outwith the realms of possibility - scientifically, politically, economically, socially and morally. Can you imagine a society where the worlds of 'Hunger Games' or 'Divergent' were a very real, very possible consequence of world events? In I. S. I. S. Thorne lives in Perthshire, the heart of Scotland and the gateway to the Highlands where her stories are set, with her young twin boys. Fiction writing is her true passion when she can fit it in alongside mum duties and a day job!
